ABOUT BAJA
Baja California Sur (sur means south!) is one of the friendliest and most fascinating places you will ever visit. Clean and tranquil communities with incredibly beautiful beaches, stunning mountains, deserts and oases.
Whether you are into hiking, biking, diving, kayaking, windsurfing, fishing, shopping, local art, food, or even anthropology, you'll find Baja California a great place to visit.
Baja enjoys a unique geographical position extending below California, at 800 miles long it is one of the worlds longest peninsulas. It is bounded on the west by the Pacific Ocean having large surf and cooler temperatures and on the east side is bounded by the Sea of Cortez which is the calmer more tropical side.
The Sea of Cortez has one of the worlds most diverse marine ecosystems, second only to the Red Sea in number of resident fish species.
