Jen Wren's crew consists of skipper Jesus (Chuy) Cota and 1st Mate Juan Diego Romero. Chuy was born and raised in Los Barriles. With more than 25 years experience fishing the East Cape, he is regarded as one of the TOP skippers in the area. He is also fluent in English and has skippered the Jen Wren to win many tournaments including the prestigious East Cape Bisbee and La Paz Gold Cup. | Awesome Sportfishing "Awesome" At 30' long with an unparalleled 12-1/2' wide, 'Awesome's' daily rate is $500 for 4 anglers, and also can accommodate up to 6, adding $50 each for additional fisherman. 'Awesome' is an absolute favorite with East Cape fishermen, has a 315 Cummins, can manage 5 fisherman all hooked up across the stern without touching elbows, and is especially proud of her tall bridge - a great lookout for 'hunting' the sea - the tallest in the 120 boat East Cape fleet.
At 32' long with a wide 12' beam, "Too Awesome's" daily rate is $675 for 4 anglers, but can easily accommodate a total of 6 anglers, adding $50 each for additional fishermen. Non-angler guests who want to enjoy the experience and the view but don't handle rods can join for just $35 each. A total of 8 guests, combining anglers and non-anglers, can be aboard. 'Too Awesome' boasts an especially accommodating layout, with a 5 foot guest bench in the bridge in front of the helm, which makes for a beautiful and comfortable viewing platform. But we want to talk to you about Ladies Fishing! We’ve finished two days with ‘just ladies’ aboard, learning, sharing, enjoying the sea, uncluttered by husbands, sons, brothers, boys. The ladies say it’s been a great learning experience, their confidence with handling fishing gear is much better, their comfort level with onboard activity and action is now quite keen and they’ve caught fish, and caught dinner!
